Akula At the ripe old age of 44 and having paid more money by force in taxes in order to support the liberal welfare state of this country than you can imagine having in one pile in front of you, I would not expect a 15 year old to have a real understanding of our county's political system because you don't pay taxes. I am talking liberal news casters spinning the truth into a lie as most liberals do. For this reason the 3 big networks have fallen behind cable in their ratings and viewership for the first time in our history. This means that at least some Americans are waking up and beginning to grow tired of the nonsense that has been pumped down their throats for the last 40 + years by this admitted 80% liberal media team. The cold war is over because of Reagan but at 15 you would not have been alive as I was and I watched him campaign on the issue of a star wars defense system as well as a 30% across the board tax cut for all TAX PAYING Americans. You are still getting the benefits today from Reagan's policies. Clinton is taking credit for them. I wish you well and I know that as you get older you will be less influenced by MTV and will begin to think for yourself. This is a normal part of growing up. Go ask your mom or dad how much from their pay check that they bring home to the family out of each dollar that they earn. Tell them to take a calculator and plug in $1. Then ask them to subtract 28 cents federal tax.....7 1/2 cents social security tax (which BTW you will pay but never collect for yourself) then subtract your states income tax which is likely about 2%. Now don't forget the 7% sales tax on everything you buy and what about the property taxes on the house you live in and the car they drive, the garbage taxes on your utility bills as well as Al Gore's $2 per month phone bill and gasoline tax, utility taxes. The list goes on..... When you get your first job and your first paycheck......be sure and tip your hat to the good liberals for allowing you to keep about 35 cents of each dollar that YOU earned. Every time you ride by the local public housing project why don't you get out and knock a few doors and ask the people why they don't work. Why they are the 3rd or forth generation of welfare recipients that seem content sucking off the hard working tax payer while the perpetuate their life styles and pass their bad morals on to their fatherless children. JFK the assassinated president that I saw get elected was a conservative.......he is known for stimulating the economy in the 1960's by cutting working Americans taxes. You will see my friend.
