Lockheed Martin, EDS and CACI were awarded a $49 million document imaging contract from Dept. of Commerce for the 2000 Census. Does anyone know if this represents a contract that Docucon was bidding on? I have to say that a profitable company that did 13 mil. in revenues last year looks damn attractive at today's closing price of .6875. Lockheed / EDS news follows Jerry GAITHERSBURG, Md., March 24 (Reuter) - Lockheed Martin Corp said its federal systems unit won a contract from the U.S. Commerce Department's census bureau to support the Year 2000 Decennial Census. The initial value of the four-year contract is valued at about $49 million, the company said. Lockheed Martin and its teammates, Electronic Data Systems Corp and CACI International Inc , will design and install a document imaging system that will digitally capture information from respondent census forms.
