marcos, SI. I do not know how SI earns a living. I see no ads. I get no solicitations for me to buy stuff. I think they are positioning themselves to be an advertising sales venue, where you get to see ads on the page as you go through the thread. They did at one time seek financing, but now have it in place? they are well run and efficient, their model of a site is one of the best. I think that at some point they will sprout ads or go away, unless Bill Gates finances it out of the good of his heart(possible, he is altruistic from time to time)
I would hate to see it go, as it is very good, and I would put up with ads as long as they did not add delays.
