Well Bill every vote counts but I would say to the pro-lifers that they need more than the bible to defend their position. And we don't have real equality for pregnant women in the work world, this has been illustrated by some very public cases such as Hunter Tylo etc. so part of the pro-life doctrine should be making the world a better place for pregnant women I would say... I don't know about where you are but here a lot of HMOs don't cover pregnancy unless you pay through the nose ($400/month)... I don't think the pro-lifers have really planned their strategy too well. I really don't have a problem with the "states rights" position on the matter as long as my federal tax dollars don't go to any other state. Since California is the richest state I think that approach might benefit California.
