You are blind if you think the credit goes to Clinton for anything other than being a first-class buffoon.

The policies that Congress adopted and continued to follow were originally Reagan's suggestions. During 1980 -1988 the Congress continued to expand government and spending. They also had massive tax cuts which fueled a very large expansion in the economy. Clinton basically left much of Reagan's suggested economic reform untouched. The areas where he wanted to massively expand government involvement (health) were roundly defeated. If Clinton had gotten Congress to pass his proposals this economy would be far from robust.

Anyway, everything is cyclical, so eventually the market will go bear and a steep recession will take the place of the expansion. Most people are not that adept at looking out more than a year past their nose. For some wannabe millionaires of today it will be the soup kitchen for them tomorrow...
