Palm VII Could Cost an Arm and a Leg
Windows Magazine , August 01, 1999, Issue: 1008

Summary: Like its predecessors, the new Palm VII Connected Organizer, from 3Com's Palm Computing division, is both useful and easy to operate. Unfortunately, the Palm VII's key innovation-wireless connectivity-is simply too costly for most potential...

From the article: "...Aside from the gee-whiz wireless feature, the latest version of the Palm marks a technological step backward: It's essentially a Palm III. It offers neither the Palm IIIx's 4MB of memory (it's got 2MB), nor the Palm V's stylish svelteness and rechargeable battery. At 5.25 by 3.25 by 0.75 inches and 6.7 ounces with batteries, it's bigger and heavier than any other Palm-about twice as thick as the Palm V, and about 3/4 of an inch longer (Palm V is 4.5 by 3.1 by 0.4 inches and 4 ounces). And battery life is about two or three weeks, compared with at least a month for the Palm V...."
