Jack,

Barilla is a solid Italian comapny. They hired a CEO out of States,
don't remmber guy's name but I think he was VP of specail projects
with Wall Mart or something of the sort!)

Italian Post Office ? good luck,( Before you buy the shares might as well
you start practicing how to comit subuku, the same way Jon Blushi used
to do on Saturday Night Live.)

Another Good Italian company that went public last year is Brembo
Freni,(I happen to know the management and major shareholders. Total
turnover 1996 was 500 million dolalrs circa, last, they netted 32%)

In any case, yourself a lot of heart ache, stay away from Italian market.
