It's, perhaps, one of the best features of the system; (responsible) free speech at its finest. Anyone can start a new thread, anyone can read any thread, anyone can post to any thread. Period. The old Q thread was easily running hundreds of posts a day. The new thread(s) slice and dice the posts and provide a good service, IMO, by making the information (frequently in the loose sense of the word) easier to cruise, process and participate in. It's sort of like ice cream; ones preference might be maple nut but isn't it nice to also have pistachio and double nut chocolate to choose from? To each their own flavor. Foster tolerance of others.
