Thread, this is just the next day after I visited one of 3 daytrading firms in the Boca/ Ft. Lauderdale area. I saw the looks on the faces of the daytraders. They did have that frenzied and panicky look. But those are the daytraders that trade 30-40 times a day. I think daytraders should be trading at home with their families, children, dogs and loved ones next to them. Or in a chat room, where there is no danger. If you noticed I said the owner sat in luxury while the the 'traders' looked more than stressed.. and it was an up day. I don't think this daytrader would have acted differently if he were in another job that was stressful. He was an emotionally troubled individual and traders should no more be stigmaized by this event than any sick individual who can 'god forbid kill his family in a divorce dispute.

But I for one would not trade in an atmosphere like the one I saw yesterday. I will never name the place I visited, but I don't think daytraders should be merged elbow to elbow in one room under so much stress. Not because of dangers of killing but just because it is not conducive to productivity. Daytraders will not have a bad name, nor will brokerages or any helpful guides to the daytrader, but owners of these companies that pile together daytraders under less than the best of circumstance should be made to follow certain guidelines. I am not a professional who has the right to decide what are or are not 'proper conditions' but I am a person with an opinion I think there should be a re-evaluation of how many traders should be sitting and trading and what kind of gains are the daytraders tantalized with.
