Coug, let me stick my neck out and address your point. The tragedy in Atlanta was a news event. And it no doubt filled the void created by gradual tapering-off of coverage of the JFK Jr. tragedy.

People react to tragedies in the news, and then forget about them when the next news event comes along. Why is today's tragedy more tragic than yesterday's, or last year's? In one of my posts today, I brought up a tragedy , one that happened years ago, but it is one I truly sorrowed over...

That does not mean that I do not feel for the victims in Atlanta. But what is there to say about it, that has not already been said?
