Don't become religious...that's what Jesus fought.
Religion is death. Just talk to God and start there.
Read His Word and ask Him to reveal truth.
Find a church that isn't religious either.
Just loves people and the Word and God.
Actually during the med-evil period they didn't count all the years.
Maybe the wars interrupted the counting. It's actually about 2003 already.
Jan 1 2000 has already come and gone in real terms.
It's better to just use the real calendar.

Start with the book of John and just enjoy. Ask God to reveal truth.
God will not ask you to become religious. That would only ruin the
relatonship He wants to have.

Last week our church let the youth lead the service....right down to the music. Our worship is alittle progressive anyway, but the youth
certainly demonstrated the John and Charles Wesley effect.
The Wesley's church worship was not accepted in the church for decades. They took the beat and the rythym of bar songs and made church music out of it. Not to cool to the religious types of that day.
But, after decades and the kids grew up it was accpeted and became a religious standard for a long time. The sad part is John or Charles would roll over in their graves if they heard the boring way their songs were perform in church in the 1970's. Dull people reading from books and nothing really coming from their hearts in the words.
All set to a lone organ. The Wesley's would not be to pleased with what the church did to their music.

Yes, the youth lead our worship and the spirit moved and danced and add His way.
