This is hilarious. It's the first time I've seen such a report from a company (whose U.S. operations consisted mostly of a web site) report that the whole thing is somehow damaged and lost.

Sounds like somebody whose check didn't get there because the letter got damaged or lost in the mail. Except that this is harder to believe. How does a website become "lost"?
