Rich Kaiser is correct!

Whether or not he is paid by the companies he mentions, his criterion are spot on. I will add another -- junior companies who have joint ventures with, equity investments by, or other strategic alliances with major mining companies.

The majors do not often enter deals with exploration-level juniors lightly or spontaneously, and will have undertaken a lot more due diligence than the average investor, or fund manager.

If the Bre-X story plays out as another mining scam, the investing public will be extremely wary. A major partner in development could be stronger incentive than cash, area plays, OR even drill results.

And yes, Bobby, I am paid by mining companies. In fact, I am a director of one. This is something I clearly state every time I post.
