KANAKARIS ANNOUNCES KKRS.NET AS FIRST WEB CHANNEL WITH DIRECT OVER-THE-INTERNET DELIVERY OF MOVIES, BOOKS AND MUSIC PLUS 24-HOUR Audio and Video Programming Single Consolidated Site to Feature Online Movies Of The Week (Free and Pay-per-View), Wearabl

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Jul 26, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Kanakaris Communications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: KANA) announced a new business strategy to become the World Downloadable Leader with a single consolidated web channel which offers the Internet's first ever combination of direct over-the-Internet delivery of movies, books and music.

The Company announced several new and key elements of its plan to create one of the world's most innovative and new millennium oriented web sites, and addressed its plan for Revenue, Web Traffic, Technology, Partnerships, Content and its Competitive Position:

Revenue The site will generate income from pay-per-view movies delivered overthe Internet, advertising for its free online movies of the week, sales revenue from each electronic book and music recording sold or rented and sales revenues from Internet life style products.

George Atkinson, founding father of home video and editor-in-chief of Kanakaris virtual theater, said, "When I launched what became over 600 Video Station stores before there was a Blockbuster, the movie industry opposed home video. Today, home video is by far the largest source of revenue to the movie industry. What Kanakaris is doing for Internet delivery of movies reminds me of my early days in founding home video, and online movie delivery could both exceed and replace home video as we know it. I'll do everything I can to assist Kanakaris in being the online movie leader."

Web Traffic Kanakaris is reaching its largest recurring web traffic in the threeyear history of its web sites with the free online movies of the week, now in their third week. By bringing all of its movie, book and music customers to the same web channel, Kanakaris believes it will build total web traffic and brand name recognition. All Kanakaris domain names, both those existing (such as NetBooks.com, Cyberpop.com) and new ones to be announced, will all point to KKRS.Net to result in a single consolidated web audience of the largest possible size.

Technology The Kanakaris Online Movie Of The Week, with two new titles including a Shirley Temple classic now online (www.kanakaris.com), already features no plug-in required technology enabling anyone in the world with a basic Internet connection to watch on-demand movies. The Kanakaris Online Book technology (www.NetBooks.com) already enables online delivery of books withscaleable type size, easy page turning, and interactive search by world or phrase. The next generation of technology to be utilized by Kanakaris includes pay-per-view delivery of online movies and Kanakaris Wearable Books technology enabling the reading of books in popular, universal hand held computing devices.

Partnerships Kanakaris has expanded its relationship with GEO Interactive to include a partnership in the 24-hour delivery of audio and video programming for KKRS.Net. One strategic reason Kanakaris will have a consolidated KKRS.Net web channel is to bolster its strength in obtaining Internet alliances.

Content Kanakaris will embark on an ambitious content procurements program for movies, books and music and will announce details this week, which will include new incentives for content creators and copyright holders.

Competitive Position Kanakaris believes it is offering the world's first single source web channel with direct over the Internet delivery of online movies of the week, books and music. Kanakaris will add all leading web site features, such as classified ads, chat rooms and auctions, as well as its own new technology breakthroughs to the site. The Company plans to offer 24/7 audio programming as part of its plan to make KKRS.Net one of the most stimulating web sites available. Kanakaris believes its revenue model of offering a single digital source in inventory (such as a movie, book or music) replicated on-demand for any Internet user in the world, will make it uniquely competitive in the new millennium. This business model is in stark contrast to those of certain competitors who rely on printing or manufacturing, warehousing and traditional shipping to fulfill the majority of web site sales generated.
