I am puzzled too. I think the market in Internet stocks is probably right in looking at prospects of market leadership measured by electronically generated revenues and so that brings us to the question of what multiple do you give on a company's run rate (i.e. its last quarter annualized)?

I think that within a year the market will revert to a version of enterprise valuations - in which the succeeding five years plus what the market thinks to day (i.e. market cap) will take precedence over capitalized revenues - but this is not happening yet.
