PaulEngel: I guess I will have to open the case as I could not find any reference to the chip sets you speak of as the drivers reveal nothing nor does motherboard when you right click to properties.I did find the processor ID:

PII82443BX is what the system devices says of the processor. I guess this is the technical name for the Celeron proccesor or has HP pulled a fast (or not so fast) one here? Thanks for your help.JFD
