Here's something I posted on another thread responding to comments on yesterday's sad events in Atlanta:

Whether we trade stocks constantly or occasionally, we do so primarily for money. As a part of our lives, hopefully as a small one, that is acceptable. But any single thing that consumes too much of our time and minds, consumes us. The "essential" is left behind, lost to that brass ring you mention. It's good to remember what counts. "Online" communities aren't the real thing. Friends, family, those whose hands we can shake and smiles we can see, are.

Even though I am an observer more than a participant in these boards, I've always appreciated your many well-considered thoughts. But we shouldn't forget that our disembodied communications will never compare to the love of those we cherish. When we slip into that forgetful state, we see that truly, all hell can break loose.
