I was under the impression that the RMBS's model was that total dram revenues will be 35% of total revenues (the rest coming from controllers, logic chips, Nitendo, Playstation, RIMM's etc.).

zeev,
the rmbs cfo revenue model is:
35% from pc's
15% from servers
50% from other uses

in this morning's calculation i counted sony pII and nintendo in the total. while ian did not.

I think the error is in taking DQ estimate of $43 billions in DRAM sales in 2001. I would not be surprised if these do not go much above $35 billions and possibly barely $30 billions

zeev,
i respect all of your opinions. here i must ask you for references. we have dq's lowered estimate of 1999 $20 billion, 2000 $27 billion, and 2001 $43 billion.
last week or two i posted the korean semi group estimate of $24 billion total for this year, doubling within two years.
i have no references for figures as low as yours.
