A response from CY's Dan McCranie regarding component prices:

<You asked for some average sales prices for the product lines for the past two quarters. I have that data for you:

PRODUCT LINE Q1 99 ASP Q2 99 ASP
SRAM $1.65 $1.68
Computer Products $0.85 $0.84 *
Data Communication $8.68 $8.64
Programmable Logic $4.50 $6.75

* Computer Products consist of a mixture of finished product and raw die sold in wafer form. The average sales price is artificially low as a result of these wafer sales (using die ASP).

The above pricing scenario should bode well for the SRAM & other component producers. Is there a URL that can provide spots prices on SRAM which can "act as a business results proxy" for the companies producing these components? Most news I read seems to suggest longer lead times and thus favorable pricing (to the producer) in the months ahead. Good October results should be on track.
