Sales of new one-family houses in June 1999 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 929,000 according to estimates released today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 3 (+/-9) percent above revised May rate of 901,000 and 2 (+/-10) percent above June 1998 rate of 909,000.
