thanks...i guess you don't 'buy' what amzn is 'selling' ;-) i cannot cut and paste from where i am typing now, but the canadian stock i once mentioned to you (bids) on the nasdaq, aka bid.com has now come down 75 % from its peak...i think in canada its peak was 32 bucks and now its under 8 dollars...this stock was all the rage north of the 49th parallelogram...recently on the channel that gives you the tv listings here, they were advertising free talking hockey cards to the first 300 customers that 'register'...there are guys up here who took out lines of credit to buy the stock in the twenties and apparently haven't told the wives....apparently the silver lining for some of them is that a few will finally get the divorce they;ve always dreamed of, simply by telling the Mrs. what they did and what the shares can currently fetch... hanging around a discount brokerage is definitely an eye opener, perhaps life threatening <ng>, but an eye opener for sure... ike
