CONV owns and operates data and voice networks based on IP, electronic commerce, the Internet and sophisticated communications systems. They are best compared to CLEC's (Competitive Local Exchange Carriers) with other companies being McLeod, Inc. and ICG Communications. These stocks trade as a multiple of projected 2000 revenues as follows:

CONV Convergent Communications 1.6X
ICGX ICG Communications 3.2X
MCLD McLeod Communications 4.0X

There is a case that it could be considered to be close to a Perot System or even Covad Communications with future exposure to DSL technology. In any event CONV is an exiting company with established industry veterans who have grown the company strongly over the past few years and their future is very bright.
