Mark and jpmac, you made very good and valid points here. But, equally valid should be: if the college-failing numbers (in one way or the other) are, as Neocon has indicated, around 50% of college-starters, a further increase in the number of college-starters may lead to an increase of frustrated people who have to overcome their failing to comply with externally given standards. This situation can lead to an increase of stress and to staying unhappiness.
Could an enhancement of understanding how to invest money to ensure old age reserves alternatively be reached by a change of Highschool teaching ?
