*Does VARL have the critical mass to compete with the big boys?*

Yes. Time and time again VARL has been able to elbow their way into markets they go after. VARL has often gone up against many large producers such as MOT and come out with the contract (MOT recently spun off its VCO unit to managers . . . VARL continues to win contracts from MOT). I mentioned the base station market wins over the Japanese, but even more significant evidence of prowess is the recent visits from NOK that VARL had.

NOK visited VARL recently and after an exhaustive audit at NOK's expense, bestowed a “preferred provider” status on the company. If you had any concerns about critical mass, production capacity, and abilities to compete with others this should calm them. As I have rambled on before, NOK would not award this status to a company that they had any reasonable concerns for.
