I wrote this last night when I got home but the squid message wouldn't let me post it. At the time I tried and failed, yours was the last msg: I don't remember who the main spokesperson is for the position that there's no global warming, it's all made up, so I'll just post this in response to your testicle post. Tonight my hubby and I had dinner in NYC with three people. One of them is a relative, and is a portfolio manager for a small mutual fund. He has a special field of expertise, the oil and gas sector. We asked him what the industry, or members of it he came in contact with, had to say about global warming-- did they deny it, and claim it's just a natural cyclical event? He said, "The PR people say that. They're paid to get that argument out. None of the technicians deny it. Neither do any of the top people, privately. They know." He just shrugged. I thought that was pretty interesting.
