Badger, good news does not seem to help... >>MEDTRONIC INC. and Computer Motion Inc agreed to collaborate on promoting Computer Motion's computer-assisted robotic systems for minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Medtronic will be exclusive distributor of the systems in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and co-marketer in the United States and Canada after the products undergo clinical testing and receive regulatory approvals, they said. Medtronic has invested an undisclosed amount in Computer Motion, as well. The Computer Motion system for cardiothoracic surgery, named Zeus, is expected to be commercially available in 1998.
