Lew is it not human nature as well to blame others for your investment decisions? This is just a board where opinions are posted. Defensive attitudes are a very natural response when your opinions and actions are called into question by a detractor as you put it.

You stated and I quote " All this simply means that between the cheerleaders with their endless pie in the sky hype, and the detractors with their obvious malevolent intent, the honest longs will tend to be forced into a defensive posture that may not be to their advantage.

Please show me, other than Ski, where any positive poster has made a serious post talking pie in the sky over the last year. Tongue and cheek maybe, but most posts are of the ilk that Franklin is a viable company that belongs at a higher share price than they are right now.

Lew I am sorry you got slaughtered, but your observations seem skewed a wee bit.
