Mark,

There are only two companies in the US who produce lithium compounds for domestic consumption and export. Both of these companies have recently added capacity and are in the situation that they can supply more than the market is taking. The only way I can see a JV would be with a new kid looking to get into the lithium business from the ground up and compete with the two existing big boys.
