Since the difference between a dial up ISP with a second phone line is about the
same as an @Home acct why the reluctance to sign up.

The fact is most people don't have the need for a second phone line.
The question is: Does ATHM want to go after the power users(10% of population) or the general populace(90% of the rest), novice included?
