David Kan, if NN denied that they were being bought out it could mean either that
a) they are lying ( happened before: companies often deny buy outs until it happens ).
b) Forbes is lying and went out of their way to publish a rumor about two large companies, not just talking to each other, but actually being quite specific about it:
- being holed up in a hotel, and
-in Washington DC of all palces

I find b more plausible.
Bloomberg just reported a denial.They did not find any new facts,
