Emile, I think it very curious that you should post concerning Polycarp. Just last week I used Him in my teaching, as I have done many times before. My objective in using Polycarp is to help the people see that difficult times can come to Christians. Regardless of these times, being forwarned, we are to prepare our minds to stand firm in the Lord. And, yes, I do understand(I think) your objective by your posts. As I see it, you are trying to show the people that it is possible for times to change. And apparently, you see a movement, because of your close relationship to the Jews, that their every action is detrimental to the Christians. But I think I know that you are not necessarily blaming the Jews, but you are warning that satan is behind these movements and will thru them usher in the Anti-Christ.
Please correct any misunderstanding that I might have about your your writings.
I enjoyed the writings about the sufferings of the early Christians. Last week I purchased a little book entitled, "The Trail of Blood" by J. M. Carroll, 1931. It follows the Christians down Through the Centuries showing The History of the Baptist Churches from the time of Christ down to the presen time. Are you familiar with what is called irregular churches? I understand Ana-Baptist would not accept members from irregular churches without re-baptizing them. Do you know if "ana" is a word for "re", therefore ana-baptists were those who re-baptized those from other churches?
Is this what you would have us understand? (Prov 27:1 NASB) "Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth."
(2 Cor 13:14 NASB) "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all."
