I'm sure management believes that a sale of the company would be a reflection of their poor managerial ability...an admission that they don't know what they are doing. After such a sale where would they go to find a new job? What would they put on their resume... "Inherited a company with world's best and fastest technology in the fastest growing sector (networking) of the high-tech industry and RAN IT INTO THE GROUND. We then proceeded to let a smaller rival outpace us by selling much more of an inferior product so that they could grow large enough to buy us out" Brilliant strategy? JEC
