Sam, my apologies for the time. There are indeed a number of people that produce systems to deliver femtosecond pulses. I call these systems as many usually have a very short pulse laser pumping another material such that it just barely reaches the lasing threshhold before the excitation energy is removed. Others do employ other methods but in general pulses this short are difficult to generate - especially cleanly. A few ultrafast pulsed laser manufacturers that come to mind other than Coherent would be Light Age, Excel/Quantronix and of course Spectra-Physics.
