Tejerk - Re: "Who cares!! It means nothing to an investor who is buying intc for the first time today. He is more concerned with 1998, 1999 and 2000 earnings than how much the stock has appreciated since 1984. "

It may mean nothing to you - but Intel, which has risen over 6000% since 1984 is near an all time high...

And AMD which has COLLAPSED by 60% since 1984 is close to it's 15 year low.

And do you know WHY ?

INVESTORS EXPECT A BETTER RETURN FROM INTEL THAN AMD over the foreseeable future.

Re: "that is because things change in the tech world very quickly. "

They sure do - don't they?

Such as the resignation of AMD's Dresden Fab manager on a Monday and the resignation of AMD's PRESIDENT on a Wednesday just 2 1/2 weeks ago !

I'm sure you can regurgitate 35 reasons why these are POSITIVE SIGNS for AMD's future.
