Here's an interesting metric. Institutional holdings of BRK seem to be around 15% right now -- 230,000 A share-equivalents. Before the merger, institutions owned 5% of BRK. Assuming that there has not been a big institutional shift toward BRK, it is possible that the ownership percentage will fall to, say, 7%. That means that there are another 110,000 A shares, or 3.3m B shares, to be sold. That's rather a lot when B shares trade 15-20,000 a day! Can anyone confirm the institutional selling theory?
