I read this article businessweek.com on tracking stocks and am actually encouraged about QNTM's use of them. The article complains about conflict between various divisions and uses Microsoft as an example. The difference, it seems to me, is that there is already a natural separation between the DLT/storage systems business and the hard drive business. Those businesses seem much less related than do two lines of software. So I think QNTM's use of tracking stock won't run into the difficulties cited here. Henry
