Herc and Bruce,
Until I read your post Bruce, I would of replied to Herc that there was no comparison - Qcharts wins on TA hands down. Sounds like ICQ must of added something since the last time I had to use it. Will have to check it out.
One of the best things in QCharts is the ability to set alerts. It is like having a trading partner! I also find the quote sheets are easier to handle than favorites list. Studies available are: MA, BB, Donchian Channels, Envelopes, Choppiness, DMI, MACD, MOM, ROC, RSI,Stoch, Vol, OI, OBV, Regression Channel and Fib lines. All parameters can be set. Usually color and thickness of lines are an option also.
I think knowing when it is down and automatically switching servers is a big big plus also. Used to have to watch the time closely in ICQ to even know it wasn't updating right....lost a bit figuring that one out.
The ability to have multiple workspaces with different types of trades available with hotkeys has also worked for me. Plus there is no comparison for the information available between the two. I know Qcharts has cut down on my websurfing considerably!
I have rambled enough - sorry.
Take care and enjoy the weekend!
