Rajala, I don't believe Iridium has announced its 2nd quarter subscriber count yet, which in any event will not have included the effects of new G*-like rates which were introduced July 1. A more correct ratio would be to compare the 15K subs with G*s projected subscriber count of 24K by the end of 99, that is after three months operation.

G*s forecast of 1M subs is by y/e 2000 (you can look it up on the Loral web site). Is it optimistic? Maybe. As a s/h I won't be too unhappy if they've reached cash flow break even of 0.5M by that time, as long as there's a decent net add trendline.
