When you looked at growth you obviously were not looking at Sales.

As for profits, start-up companies usually sell their products for less and some give it away for free just to get the BIG NAME customers. The sales persons drop names and they raise their prices to newer customers based on the value the product has added at companies like IBM and Xerox.

I didn't expect them to all of a sudden make a profit just because they are going public. Based on their growth rate so far, I would not be surprised if they were profitable in another year or two. VIAD may be worth the wait.

When they become profitable everybody will won't the stock and you may wish you had gotten in while the stock price was low.

I am also not suggesting that you buy it at the IPO. Maybe you should. Maybe you should not. Maybe it would be better to wait and watch it fall to a more reasonable price. You probably watched MPPP go up over $100 after opening at $28. Today MPPP is a lot lower than $100, but it's still over $28.

I appreciate your views. Please, check in again in a year or so and remind me about how wrong I was.

Personally, I see VIAD's E-Portal Suite as an attractive software feature that larger software companies would like to own so that they may provide a more robust offering with one stop shopping. In other words, not only does VIAD have a marketable product they may be acquired in the future.
