July 30, 1999 Message from the President of HouseHold Direct.com Dear Shareholders, I accept full responsibility for our failure to meet our July 28th launch deadline and apologize to our loyal supporters and shareholders. During the development and programming of the site, we were using a tested database of products that was integrated through all of the six separate site components. On Tuesday night, we received an updated version for launch, which also incorporated some material changes in the business processes. These changes created a material effect on the original programming, which I believed could be altered to fit our previous announced date. I miscalculated the amount of time required, and the ripple effect to the other components of the site. We are now unlinking the components, and revamping the program process. We will now launch the components on a phased in basis to meet our marketing campaign schedule with a fully functional site. Thank you all for your continued support.
