RE: GBLX to buy CLEC

I just started looked at Frontier's quarterly report
biz.yahoo.com
and i was thinking that there may not be a need to buy anyone else. They are showing, i believe, good growth in that area:

Competitive Local Exchange (CLEC) Business

Increased CLEC revenue in the quarter by 54 percent over the same period last year.
Frontier's ''on-network'' coverage now totals 25 markets. Frontier's local telephone geographic footprint covers two-thirds of the nation's local access lines, giving it a substantial national presence for integrated data/local/long distance services.

Integrated Services

The Integrated Services segment includes Frontier's commercial, consumer and carrier businesses for all data, competitive local (CLEC), long distance, audio/video conferencing and other value-added services. Three main growth areas drive the integrated services segment: carrier or wholesale services, data, and competitive local exchange (CLEC) services.

Revenue Mix by Distribution Channel

2Q99 2Q98
54 % Commercial 54%
10 % Consumer 13%
36 % Carrier 33%

Revenue Mix by Product

2Q99 2Q98

11% Data 5%
12% CLEC 8%
77% Other Voice 87%

Any thoughts?
