At 6 transistors per cell 32KB of cache has 6*8*32K=1.57M transistors in the array.

Anything on the horizon that would not require 6 transistors per cell for fast RAM? 6 has been the requirement since my early days, and that's going back a ways (no vacuum tube jokes).
