So, CMGI is supporting VERT to compete against Chemdex? It'll be interesting to see what CMGI does with its chemdex holdings. By the way, I am also in science and I too tried to get to their site for some "comparison shopping". Of course couldn't because of what you mentioned about setting an account.You make a good point about the likes of Perkin Elmer not teaming up with chemdex.
The CMGI holding that looks most interesting to me now is Navisite.
