Vendit, though many of us like to ridicule AOL's technology, they are the only ISP that is currently supporting over 17 million members and and I have not heard of any technical problems. It would be interesting to see what happens to other ISPs, free access providers included here in the US and Europe, when their users increase beyond say 2 million. Their technology is not time tested and field proven. AOL's is. ASK AOL and STEVE CASE and HIS BOYS WHAT IT MEANS TO LOOSE CUSTOMERS. They must have felt like that guy in the E-Trade ad. who quits his job and moments later goes to ask his job back. I am sure they did not feel like that day trader in Atlanta. So AOL has been there once. I can understand why they are gun shy when it comes to broadband. They would like some insurance against the broadband technology. I can understand why they want special rates from ATT.
