Re: Your answer should be that AMD is a DEAD MAN WALKING.

Could be. What I wonder about, is why INTC first threatened, then actually filed a lawsuit against, VIA to attempt to force them to ship slower products than their capabilities permitted. This was done immediately following an anti-trust investigation in which they were accused of using their near monopoly in the CPU / chipset / motherboard market to influence price and availability of technologies. With justice making noises about breaking up Microsoft, Intel FILES A BRIEF in a LAWSUIT to force the industry to ship SLOWER products! This action could haunt them for years! They are practically begging justice to reopen its complaint. It's as though Microsoft sued gateway for violating a secret contract to not ship computers with non-microsoft programs.

Is INTC terrified about something? And how dare VIA, hugely dependent on INTC information and technology tell INTC to buzz off?
What could cause such confidence in VIA?
