Nicole: Some thoughts on Canadian stocks.

First of all, thanks for the warning on T.TVL . I was about ready to dump it any way, but I ended up selling it earlier than my max pain point, saving me a few hundred.

With the commodity index still setting new lows, I am starting to think that my feeling that resource stocks will start to recover has a "This is a recording" feeling. I've been doing some DD and there's talk of Barrick and other gold companies merging. A lot of industries are hurting.

Canadian markets have been slow for months. NT and BCE are definitely the exception and T.ATY has been in a four month swoon. My excitement of a week ago has been definitely dimmed as my "Hot Cdn" watch list has gone stagnant. Most issues are just drifting around, and the TSE has still not even come close to recovering its 1998 high.

I'm stumped as to where to go from here. I have put my RRSP money into issues which have resisted the recent sell offs, but I'll jettison them at the first signs of trouble.

If you've got any ideas on Canadian issues, I'm listening.
