This morning Spouse said "I NEED to see the beach - my soul need a fix." So we packed the Helenator and some supplies and headed to the beach. It's an hour from here - but through some twisty mountain stuff, so it feels farther than that. Helen got a dose of surf and sand. (She ate a SANDwich as well.) She soaked her main and backup wardrobe - and went home wearing her momma's pullover. The neck hung from her shoulders like a prom dress. We get home and Spouse says "I have to use the potty!" Helen says "Why?" (A first!) Momma explains and Helen sagaciously nods "Oh."
