On zero notice they diverted nearly every public transport line. Way too many for them to change the signs, so they didn't bother. As one driver said: "Hey, lady, we're supposed to explain this to four million people?". One of the reasons I love Italy <g>. The Bank of Italy often has much the same attitude, kept things very entertaining as long as you kept a sense of humour. I went into mourning for a month when we lost the lire to the Euro. A lot of fun went out of the financial markets <g>. I WILL get in touch when I make it to Milan again.
