One of the areas that seem to be worth looking at in trying to find baby gorillas or kings (princelings) would seem to be to follow "luck lines" out from Qualcomm. This includes the Q spin off, LWIN and also Sierra Wireless for wirelessdata modems licensed by the Q to use CDMA. Note: Sierra Wireless is the largest wireless modem producer (even though the company itself is tiny and Canadian).

Now there is another, Phone.com (PHCM) which is the key company in WAP initiation. Wireless Knowledge the joint venture between the Q and Microsoft has just joined WAP as has the Q itself.

Phone.com is just beginning a conference on the wireless/internet nexus using WAP.

Phone.com by the way many of you may recognize under its earlier name as a private company - Unwired Planet.

Throw out as a shiney pebble since Uncle Frank at one time suggested that I might look for such.
