Pretty pictures of ginger jars.

Mine was an invisible jar-- clear glass--until filled with treasure, in this case with my mother's Outer Banks.

The best memories are unintentionally stored for me. I never seem able to remember something voluntarily- if I am living or seeing something wonderful and think-- "this- this I must remember-" then I can recall it later but it's stale, like a photograph. Too much of an exquisite moment involves all the senses that come together in one perfect blend. SO that if I am able to really recall them, relive the total, it's accidental.
I think that's why I'm so terrible at taking pictures and have so few of our trips or "important" events in our lives. Albums tend to make me sad, they don't retell the inner story for me.
